Chickens in the District?

March 22, 2017 | In The News | By Aaron Rossetti

District of North Vancouver council is set to debate allowing chickens into the municipality. Suggested restrictions: the chickens would need to be for personal use, up to a maximum of 6 hens per backyard and 'provided they’re registered with the municipality and safely ensconced in a chicken coop located in a single-family residential zone.'

What do you think? Do you live in the District and would like to have chickens? We'd love to hear your thoughts on our Facebook page.

Fun fact: the City of North Vancouver and Desitrict of West Vancouver already allow backyard chickens.
